Ethan Long is an award-winning and internationally recognized creator of children’s books, television, and digital media. He is the Emmy-nominated creator of Scribbles and Ink, now a game and video series on PBSKids.org and in development for television with WGBH. He also created Tasty Time with Zefronk, which aired on Disney Channel and Disney Junior from 2008 to 2011.
In publishing, Ethan is the author and/or illustrator of over 140 titles, including Up! Tall! and High! (winner of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award), Fright Club, Hoggy at Bat, the Happy County series, and The Death and Life of Benny Brooks, his acclaimed middle-grade memoir. He also illustrates beloved series such as Stick Dog, Junior Monster Scouts, and Good Night, Good Night, Construction Site.
Ethan lives in NYC with his wife, Heather, where he spends his days drawing, writing, cooking, and walking with his dog, Auggie.

This Children’s Book Week Celebration is made possible by the Joan Y. Leopold Endowment Fund. Joan Y. Leopold, a life long resident of Dauphin County, served as a board member of the Dauphin County Library System for more than 20 years. A tireless advocate for both child and adult literacy, her belief that reading opens a world of education and imagination lives on in her family, students and all those she touched through her efforts.
